Paleo diet for weight loss
the Paleo diet is a nutritional plan that relies on foods similar to those that humans may have eaten in the Paleolithic period, which runs approximately 2.5 million to 10,000 years ago.
The Paleo diet includes lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, those foods that people have been able to obtain in the past through hunting and gathering.
The Paleo diet limits the foods popular with the advent of agriculture about 10,000 years ago. These foods include dairy products, legumes and grains.
The Paleo diet is called by other names such as the Stone Age diet, the caveman diet, and the hunting and gathering diet.
The goal of the Paleo diet is to return to eating a diet similar to what the old man was eating, because he believed that the human body adapted to this type of diet better than it did with the modern diet that emerged with agriculture.
Agriculture changed what people eat and established dairy products, grains and legumes as additional essential nutrients in the human diet. This rapid and relatively late change in diet, according to the hypothesis, outweighed the body's ability to adapt to it. This incompatibility is believed to be a contributing factor to the prevalence of obesity, diabetes and heart disease today.
